Test Selection

The GACE are conducted during morning and afternoon test sessions. Test sessions are four hours in length, except for Paraprofessional, which is three hours long. The morning session has a reporting time of 7:45 a.m. and ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. (11:30 a.m. for Paraprofessional). The afternoon session has a reporting time of 1:00 p.m. and ends at approximately 5:45 p.m. (4:45 p.m. for Paraprofessional). You may select tests for a single test session or for both the morning and afternoon test sessions.

The number of tests you may register to take in one test session is determined by the assessment(s) for which you are registering. Each assessment consists of one or more tests. If you are registering for an assessment that includes multiple tests, you may take one or more tests for that assessment in the same test session. In one test session you may take

Each assessment is designed to allow sufficient time for examinees to complete all tests for that assessment in a four-hour session (three-hour session for Paraprofessional). The tests are not individually timed, and you may spend as much time as you choose on each test. However, you will be allowed no more than the allotted time to complete the test(s).

The table below lists all GACE tests and provides the following information:
