What's New in 2009–2010?
Computer-Based Testing Now Available for Basic Skills
The Basic Skills assessment, which includes tests in reading, mathematics, and writing, is now offered on computer. Computer-based testing (CBT) for these tests is available during select six-day testing windows at Pearson Professional Centers in Georgia and outside of Georgia. Refer to "Test Sites for Computer-Based Testing" for information about available test centers and to "Test Dates for Computer-Based Testing" for a list of the testing windows currently open for registration. The first testing window available for Basic Skills CBT is in February 2010.
Registration for computer-based testing is available only on the Internet by selecting "Register Now" on the GACE Web site. There is an additional computer-based testing fee of $30 per test appointment. See "Test Fees and Payment Policies" for information about fees for tests taken on computer.
For more detailed information about computer-based testing, refer to "Computer-Based Testing." On the GACE Web site, you may use the "Computer-Based Testing" tabs at the tops of pages to select content specifically related to computer-based testing.
